It is never too late to get baby photos in your home! Life after birth can be a blur. Before you know it, a few months have gone by and you just can’t believe your baby will be six months old. I tell all my clients that anytime you photograph your family is the right time to photograph your family.
As your children grow, there are so many details to capture and remember. Things keep changing. A first-tooth smile, a first haircut, kindergarten, a broken arm, their favorite stuffy.
This family wanted to remember all the details of their first born son from his first year of life. We have the fingernails, the feet, the whips hair. We also wanted to capture a few toothless grins before he starts to show teeth. He is just learning to sit up and is still breast feeding. All very important details for this Mom and Dad.
WHAT TO EXPECT WITH SITTER SESSIONS AND BABY PHOTOS IN YOUR HOME.
- Sleep/wake schedule. Once we connect on the phone, we will have selected a time that works best with your child’s routine and nap schedule. Happy babies always!
- 60-90mins. It takes a few minutes to warm up to the camera and for older babies to feel comfortable with a new person. Over stimulation will work against us, so giving some space and time to settle and just be is important.
- Unique and curated session. How do you bond as a family? What is important for you to remember? Reading books, bath time, feedings and snuggles are typical activities for children this age.
- Prepared for shyness/fussiness. It happens! I am a very patient photographer, who nannied for nearly 12 years. So I understand the ways of young children. Keeping your calm, grounding energy will help everyone settle in.
- Raspberries, music, singing, laughing and lovin’ on each other.
