There are milestones to celebrate all along the Motherhood Journey. So many moments to absorb and feelings to hold onto. Our goal with this session was to capture all the details, expressions, bits and pieces of this sweet baby girl. She just completed her first trip around the sun, and though the first year was celebrated with a small family gathering, this Mama wanted a special session with her daughters, captured in their day to day space.
So many snuggles have happened on this bed. So many books have been read in this little nook.
After our initial consultation, we decided on an intimate, slow paced experience scheduled around nap times and happy times. Though this was a larger farm style home a few miles north of Baltimore, we used only two of the rooms in the house- I wanted to focus on connection and let the Little Miss settle in and feel comfortable. Maybe another session could showcase the landscape of their life, but for this particular vision, I found it distracting.
First Birthdays can be so personal- only you know the struggles and triumphs that have decorated your road to this point. The work and the emotions that exist together all day (and night 😉 long paint your feeling of what it means to be a Mother. All of these little hands fingers that hold you so tightly are constant reminders that you are loved.
This is a collection I will look back on and smile, always.
