Hello and thank you for visiting. I wanted this post to share a bit more about who I am and shed some more light to my voice as a natural Newborn Photographer.
That’s me, Steph, owner of Steph Kines Photo, specializing in working with young families, expecting women and growing babies in the Philadelphia area. I find light and connection in your own space, using a more lifestyle approach to capturing this time in your life.
From maternity + newborn to milestones + family, I photograph in a warm, natural and unexpected way. My clients love that our sessions are child-led, which means giving space and guidance to young children to be themselves in their own environment.
No forced posing, no sit and smile, no props and stress.
We let toddlers snack, play, snuggle, take a break and bring them back into the session in a fun, playful way. This leads to a more true reflection of your family at this time in your life.
This journey started twelve years ago, as I spent most of my days caring for other people’s children. To raise a child, stay consistent and be eternally patient can be tricky for any care giver or parent. But it is the giggles, the smells, the gratitude, the quiet bonding and the playful afternoons that you want to bottle up and hold onto forever.
That is what I want to give to you- more natural, warm moments among your family. We use some guided prompts along the way, but mostly your lifestyle newborn session will be you, just being you. In your own home, doing your own thing, in your own way.

This Mother was a little unsure of hiring a professional newborn photographer to come to her home, but she was sooooo happy she said yes! This sweet baby has changed so much over the past few months that his newborn photos are now a memory to be relived.
Shopping for clothing when expecting a baby, is not always an easy feat. Though there are many boutiques and shops in the Philadelphia area for styling maternity, newborn and children clothing, both dresses on this blog (the one I am wearing above, as well as this New Mother) were ordered on line from the one and only Baltic Born clothing company.
