If you are looking for a Quakertown Family Photographer, Steph Kines has you covered! Whether it’s downtown, or at your property, we can curate the perfect session. Sometimes all you need is the people you love.
WHERE TO PHOTOGRAPH YOUR FAMILY
We do not need a grand location or a far venture. We are trying to capture the personalities and connections of your family. Here are a few reasons I like to keep it close and simple:
- Travel can add unnecessary stress to your session. Traffic, long car trips, children in carseats. Keeping your trip short and easy for your family helps the morale of the session.
- Comfortable places help young children feel more at ease.
- Your home is where your memories are made. Tying sessions into places you spend a lot of time, add deeper connection to these images. Going to your grandparent’s house. Your vacation home. Your backyard or an ice cream parlor in town.
- Limit distractions. Yes, locations can be stunningly beautiful, but your focus should always be your family, the feelings and the connection among you.
- Remove pressure. Thinking of new spots, colors, tones, weather, etc can be stressful. We want this to be fun and enjoyable. Remember, YOU bring the magic, baby.
WHAT TIME OF YEAR SHOULD I BOOK A SESSION
Though anytime you want to photograph your family is essetially the perfect time, there are a few things to keep in mind. First off, in the Mid Atlantic area, there is quite the seasonal change. With that comes varying colors, weather temperatures, and longer/shorter days to coordinate with kid schedules.
Do your children go to bed early? Is your evening routine important to you? Summer sessions might be tricky because of the late setting sun. Does your family run hot? Maybe an August outdoor session is not your cup of tea. Do you want to be by the beach or water? Do you like fall colors and layers? When do your children get out of school? What are your extra curricular activities?

My blog showcases all type of family sessions. From summers on the beach, to fall families and bright spring colors. There is a little something for everyone. If you are looking for a Quakertown Family Photographer and not sure when you book, reach out here!
Below is a family who is renovating their farmhouse and wanted to capture their son around his first birthday. We decided to use their surrounding property for their session, as that is where their sons spends nearly every afternoon evening. Outside with the dogs and his mother and father.
