SET THE SCENE FOR NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHY
Bringing home a newborn is quite an exciting time for everyone in the family. Toddlers and older siblings are meeting their new baby brother or sister for the first time. Dogs and cats are adjusting to sharing the spotlight. Moms and Dads are figuring out what works and what doesn’t.
Adding travel to the mix to get your newborn photos taken, can turn some parents away from capturing this special time. That is why Steph Kines Photo comes to your home. Exclusively your home and your home only.
WHY FAMILY PHOTOS AT HOME?
This way you can sleep in a bit. You have a closet of clothing to choose from, have snacks, toys, and distractions on hand. Eating is key. You can lay down in your bed. Bottles are just a few feet away and all of the things that make your life easier are right around the corner.
I have a few behind the scene videos of how an at home newborn session works. I arrive at your home when you are feeding your new baby, which gives me some time. Specifically, I find pockets of light in your home and warm up a few spaces with my space heater. I move a chair or kitchen table to get the best lighting. Lastly, I get set up for our time together.
WHAT WE PHOTOGRAPH:
Your home is not on display! And no, you do not have to be an interior decorator to have photographs done in your own home. All of the images you see on my website, my instagram, my blogs are taken in different homes. They are photos from hallways, kitchens, guest bedrooms, laundry rooms. That is my job! You get to relax, feed your baby, snuggle and play with your children, while I find the moments.
The images below are taken in two rooms. That is it! Only two rooms of this entire house. The gallery is modern and timeless. A big brother around helps create fun newborn photos at home.
