There is a way to take your own, beautiful maternity self portraits at home with your phone. Tell the story of your growing belly for you.  Sometimes things are just for you. These images were taken in two rooms and two rooms only. I could have done the entire session on the couch. There was so much fun, laughter and young energy here! So many little games and stories to tell and kisses to give. Soon this family of three will be a family of four and this time together will be a chapter in the books.

So here we are, post pregnancy, post birth and we have this quickly growing baby who is changing everyday. So many of us are busy documenting life around us, we rarely get in the moments (aside from the selfie if we are feeling put together that day). But how often are you engaging with your children, enjoying your time as a Mom, with your children? Maternity photos are a way to show what life has been and what you are waiting for, in a natural, intimate way.  We start with lifestyle maternity photography in your home, on the porch, or around the yard.  Siblings and pets are around and we are collecting slices of your life as it is.  The second part of our in home maternity photo session, we show off your belly and get lots of skin on skin.  This is time for woman to feel sexy, celebrated and loved by their partner. 

My favorite place to shoot in Maryland- a fishing hole on The Chesapeake Bay- lies just north of Baltimore and offers a private experience for my clients. We move from the tall green reeds of the marsh, through the paths that lead to the calm bay shore. It is a perfect spot for exploring with young children, as there are birds, boats and jumping fish to be seen.
