I'm Steph, Philadelphia's Natural Newborn Photographer serving young families and expecting Mother's in Bucks County, the Main Line and Philadelphia areas.
These are lifestyle photos, using natural light, guided prompts and natural engagement among the people you love to create modern and unexpected portraits for your family.
My sessions are child-led as we capture the feeling of this time in a natural, organic way.
Doulas are trained professionals who provide informational, physical and emotional support to you and your family during the pregnancy, labor and postpartum phases of birth. They work directly with other medical professionals, (i.e. nurses, doctors, midwives) to provide a safe and emotionally supportive environment when bringing a newborn into your world.
Birth Centers are blend of the at home-feel and care, while also being close to (or in) a hospital. You will be surrounded by medical professionals, with home-like care and more options for pain management. You will have access to showers, birthing tubs and space to walk and move around freely. Following a midwife model for delivery and care, they are also less likely to intervene during birth, allowing a more natural progression and a much less percentage of cesarean deliveries than hospitals.
Each month I will feature a local Philadelphia family to share the inspo behind their nursery. If you are looking to a hire a newborn photographer in the Philadelphia area and you have a nursery you are proud of, be sure to mention that you would like some photos of the interior of the nursery as well. Tell your photographer what is important to you, so you can get capture photos that bring you back to this time in your life.
Your newborn photos should reflect you. Feeling comfortable and enjoying this experience is what newborn photography should be. As your photographer, I am here to help you feel at ease with our morning and help every step of the way.
Newtown Square PA No props. No distractions. Just you in your own space, at your own pace. Newborn photos are intimate, emotional and a celebration of this new chapter in your life. For that reason, the more simple the photos, the more connection becomes the focus of your photos. Simple newborn photography will always be […]
Hands down, the best part of your photographer coming to your home in the winter is that you get to stay cozy, warm and relaxed. There is no braving the winter cold with a new baby and no stress of traveling in inclement weather. Grab a tea, relax in bed for a bit longer and let the photographer come to you.
Our goal with natural newborn photography is to have a true representation of this time in your life. For that reason, I encourage most winter newborn Mamas to go the more warm, casual route for their photography session.
The best part of taking your newborn pictures in your own home is that you can include your four legged babies, too. Watching the bond between your fur baby and your new baby unfold can be the most beautiful thing. That is why puppies, dogs, cats, kitten and all family pets are always welcome to join the photos. In the session below, you’ll find these two goldens loving every minute of their maternity and newborn debut.
I get asked often if pets can be included in newborn photos and the answer if always yes. During our booking process, we talk about your pet’s age, personality and how comfortable they are around the new baby.
If the introduction between your newborn and your animal has gone smoothly and you feel confident including them in our session, we can bring them into the photographs in a variety of ways.
In most cities, maximizing natural light can be a challenge with urban structures blocking the sun, especially in Philadelphia or other east coast cities. Moving through the seasonal living in the Mid-Atlantic calls for creativity when trying to brighten gloomy, overcast winter days.
My entire booking process is digitally sound and efficient. It will save you time and brain power, I promise. Through a series of links, videos and imagery, you will be able to easily find the answer to most of your questions through my Welcome Guide.
